Cricket Fans Disappointed as In-Form Players Miss Out on Champions Trophy 2025 Squad

Cricket enthusiasts were eagerly expecting the selection of several players who have delivered impressive performances in recent times for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. However, much to their disappointment, these players have not been included in the squad.

Karun Nair: Karun Nair has made a sensational reunion with cricket, scoring five hundreds in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy

Mohammed Siraj: The selectors interestingly dropped Siraj from Champions Trophy 2025 squad despite picking-up some crucial wickets in BGT.

Sanju Samson: Sanju Samson is also unlucky this time not being selected in Champions Trophy 2025 squad

Jasprit Bumrah Fitness Update for Champions Trophy 2025

One of the major talking points from the squad announcement was the inclusion of Jasprit Bumrah, whose availability in Champions Trophy 2025 is still uncertain. Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar confirmed that the BCCI medical team is closely monitoring his fitness, and a final decision will be made in early February. Bumrah, who has been struggling with a recurring back injury, is a key asset for the team, especially considering the challenging conditions in UAE. India will play all champions trophy matches in UAE despite traveling to Pakistan.

Agarkar stated, “We’re waiting on Bumrah’s fitness update. The BCCI medical team will provide clarity in early February, and we will make a decision accordingly.” If Bumrah is unable to recover in time, India might have to name a replacement, with bowlers like Mukesh Kumar or Prasidh Krishna being potential options.
