Russia and India are finalizing a deal, a visa-free group travel scheme for Indian tourists to visit Moscow without a visa starting in spring 2025.
Moscow City Tourism Committee chairman Evgeny Kozlov said that Group travelers should mention the exact number of tourists in documents traveling together. Russian government is negotiating with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs to finalize the number of people per group eligible for this facility.
India, a priority market with 61,000 visitors in 2024, could see a surge in Indian tourists in Russia. It will be helpful for budget travelers.
Current Russian visa costs ₹4,500. Existing options include e-visa for Indians for solo trips, after this list of visa-free countries for Indians may expand.
